Mr Cory

MR CORY started twirling at age 8 in Invermere, B.C. under the direction of Karen Gratton and the Kootney Baton Connection as well as Loranne Meek (his choreographer). He caught on to twirling very quickly and was soon ready for the International Competitive scene at age 14. In 2004 at the World Baton Twirling Championships in Japan, he brought a bronze medal home to Canada in the Jr Men’s Division. Then in 2005 once again he won a bronze medal at the World Championships in St. Paul. 2006 saw Cory win a Gold Medal in the 3-Baton Event in Rome, Italy at the first ever International Cup Competition. In his final year as an athlete Cory along with his Pair Partner Jenna Jemieff won a bronze medal at the World Championships in Hamilton, Ontario. Cory is currently working for Telus and is a featured performer at the Night Club, Twisted Element in Calgary! 2015/2016 will mark Mr. Cory's firth year of teaching for The Baton & Dance Company!
